Montrall Smith departed this life on October 19,2023 at the age of 42 years old. He was born on June 23, 1981. The place of death is Virgnia Beach, Virgnia. He was the son of Janie Whittle and Larry Bangham Sr. He is survived by his daughters Janae and Jakyla Smith, and he was the grandfather of Jahari Smith. He was the godfather of Bailey Smith and the beloved brother of Lashonda Bangham and Vanity Smith.

He is preceded in death by his brother Larry Bangham Jr., Grandmothers Ora Lee Smith and Louise Bangham, Grandfathers James Smith and David Bangham, Great Grandmothers Bessie King and Martha Holmes, Great Grandfathers Willie King and Charles Cheese, His Aunts Evon “Baby sister” Brandon, Terry Bangham, Clara Bangham Battle and his Uncles Curtis Smith and Walter Bangham.

• The funeral services will be on Friday, November 10,2023 at 11:00am at New Hope Baptist Church, 1807 Rev John Raphael Way, New Orleans, LA 70113.

• Visitation will be begin at 10:00am until the hour of service.

• The repast will be immediately after the funeral service and held at Chateau Menteur LLC 8726 Chef Menteur Highway New Orleans, LA 70127.
  The family invites Harrah’s Casino, Loomis Fargo, Baton Rouge General Hospital, and U.S. Navy Merchant Seamen.
