Lionel Moore

Lionel J. Moore, entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, November 5, 2024, at the age of 83. He was a native of Thibodaux, LA and a resident of New Orleans, LA. Lionel was born July 13, 1941, to parents, John Moore Sr. & Ellen Hampton Moore. His presence will be deeply missed, but his love and precious memories will live on in the hearts of his family, and all those who were fortunate enough to know him. Lionel leaves to cherish his precious memories, his 5 children, Philepe Moore (Robin), Lisa Williams (Saul), Nicole Moore, Wayne Orr (Marcia) and Denisha Moore; 5 grandchildren, Aaron Orr, Aaliyah Orr, Cameryn Orr, Kennedy Kelley & Jason Davis-Moore; 4 siblings, Louis Moore, Sr., Leroy Moore (Rebecca), Gabriel Moore (Cynthia) & Betty Perry; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Lionel was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, and 7 siblings. Services will be on Friday, November 22,2024 at 10:00am at Next Generation of Original Morning Star FGBC at 3536 St. Ferdinand St., New Orleans, LA. Visitation we begin at 9:00am until the hour of service. Interment at Southeast Louisiana Veterans Cemetery.
