Leona Bolds Robinson

Leona Bolds Robinson, ,age 92, peacefully entered into eternal rest on Saturday, May 1, 2021 in her residence of Slidell, LA. at Park Provence Senior Living Center.
Born August 2, 1928 was one of six children to the union of Annie Ernestine Verrett and Leon Bolds. Beloved wife for over 60 years to John W. Robinson who predeceased her. Mother of Marlene Robinson Taylor and Phyllis Robinson Smith.

During her illness, Leona was lovingly cared for by the staff of Park Provence, her devoted daughters Marlene and Phyllis, and their families, and nephew Rickie.
Her legacy lives on in the lives of her daughters, Marlene Robinson Taylor (Alger) and Phyllis Robinson Smith (Jesse); her five grandchildren, Douglas Black, Jynelle Black, Jules Smith (Valencia), Jevonne Smith Pollard (Lance) and Jon Charles Smith (Wendy); and her nine great-grandchildren Dallas Black, Jasmine, Jayden, and Jayson Smith; Jacey and Chase Pollard; Li’Jon, Larissa, and Leila Smith. Her brother-in-law, David Robinson and her sister-in-law, Geraldine Robinson will miss her at family reunions. Leona will continue to be loved by her special nieces and nephews Rickie and Lydia Monie, Kim Sankey, DeWittress Taylor, and Miriam and Curt Elmore. A host of close friends, and special lifelong former neighbors, Melinda Wright and Purnell Lewis and his family will fondly miss Leona.

Leona is preceded in death by her parents, husband, three (3) sisters: Selma, Hilda, Dolores, and two (2) brothers: Vernon and Benjamin.

• Family and Friends are invited to attend the funeral services at Ephesus S.D.A Church, 2400 Delachaise St., New Orleans, LA on Friday, May 07, 2021.

• Visitation will be 9:00am-10:00am, with services immediately following.

• Interment will be at Southeast Louisiana Veterans Cemetery at a later date.

• COVID protocol will be adhered to. There will be no repasts due to COVID limitations. .
