Joseph Gardner,   – age 68, departed this life on Thursday, November 15, 2018. Born on December 22, 1949 to Florence Gardner and Joseph Cumming in New Orleans, LA, Joseph attended Booker T. Washington and was baptized at New Home Ministries. He leaves to cherish his memory, his wife, Rita Gardner; children, Lezina Gardner, Trina Clark, Joseph Gardner III, Ebony Reed, Sharon Henderson and David Henderson; sisters, Florence Yancy, Lena Flowers and Thelma Knatt; and a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, other relatives and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents, Florence Gardner and Joseph Cummings; and daughters, Viva Henderson and Denise Gardner. Family and friends are invited to attend funeral services on Saturday, November 24, 2018 at 10:00AM at New Home Ministries, 1616 Robert C. Blakes, Sr. Dr., New Orleans, LA. Visitation will be held from 9:00AM until the hour of service. Interment will follow at Providence Memorial Park, 8200 Airline Dr., Metairie, LA.
