Jimmie Lee Brown

Jimmie Lee Brown , passed away at his home on Tuesday, September 19, 2023. He was born in New Orleans, LA on May 22, 1960. He is survived by his loving wife of 43 years, Lisa Ann Brown. His children Jason Ferrand, Jenia Johnson, Christopher Brown and Jennifer Serpas. His 18 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. Jimmie also leaves behind his 6 brothers and 1 sister. He is preceded in death by his parents, Arthur and Eloise Brown, his son Joshua Peter Brown, brother Anthony Brown, sister Laurel Turner Ellis and also his mother-in-law Mary Berger. Jimmie Brown graduated from Francis T Nicholls High School in 1978. He was a longtime employee of Folgers Coffee for 35 years. He loved music. Jimmie was a member of many bands including High Voltage, Just Us and Folgers Concert Choir where he played several instruments and was a vocalist. Jimmie Brown was a beloved coach, "Coach Jimmie" at St. Roch Playground in New Orleans, LA. He is survived by a host of family and friends.

• Services will be held on Friday, October 6, 2023 at 10:30am at Mount Moriah, 2407 Louisa Street, New Orleans, LA. 70117.

• Visitation will begin at 9:30am until the hour of service.

• Interment will be at Honaker Forest Lawn, 1751 Gause Blvd W, Slidell, LA. 70460. Employees of Folgers Coffee Company, Heritage Manor of Slidell and Weiler Plastic Surgery are invited to attend services.
