Herbert Lewis Jr

Herbert Lewis Jr. (affectionately known as “POPS”) age 65 of Marrero, LA. transitioned to Glory on May 7, 2024. He was born in New Orleans, LA. to the late Herbert Lewis, Sr., and Jo Anna Murph. He was married to Beverly A. Lewis for 37 years.   Together they raised three sons, Herbert Alexander (Constance), Tyrone Johnson (Rashad), and Eric Johnson (Ciera).   Grandfather of Cornisha, Da’Jon, Sanaa’, Jasmine, Danzel, and Jami; soon to be Great Grandfather of Da’Leyah. Brother of Tammy Payne, Delano Lockett (Romona), Lisa Ballentyne (Ashford), Daniel Lockett (Earline), Bridgett Prince (Rodney), Herman Pattern Jr. (Pamela), Keith Washington, Kelly Pattern and Karen Manning (Jerry). Brother-In-Law of Ashton, Tyrone, Paulette, Herbert & Kennieth. 

He attended West Jefferson High School.  He was the Owner & CEO of Herbert Lewis LLC and Three Eagles LLC. He was the Overseer of Empowering for Life Prophetic Ministry along with his wife Prophetess Beverly Lewis. He was a very affectionate, dedicated, and hardworking individual. He was a great man of faith, ready to lend a helping hand, offer words of comfort and prayers to anyone in need.  His smile brought warmth and joy to everyone in his presence.  His passing will be mourned deeply by everyone who knew and loved him. His memory will remain in the hearts of his family, friends and all who were honored to have the privilege of knowing him. His legacy will live on for generations to come, inspiring those who knew him. Remembering his kind, heartless, generous, and unforgettable spirit.
