Gregory M. Johnson

Gregory M. Johnson affectionately known as “Butterball, Butta” gained his wings on June 26, 2022, at the age of 40. He was a native of New Orleans, La. Gregory was a loving father, son, grandson, brother and uncle. Gregory had a really good heart, and he would do anything for anyone. His smile would light up the whole room. He loved spending time with his family. He will truly be missed, never forgotten, and will always and forever be in our hearts. Gregory was born to Gregory M. Hall and Bernadine L. Johnson. He was preceded in death by his loving grandparents Beatrice E. Hall and Morris L. Hall Sr. who together raised, spoiled and showered him with unconditional love. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents Bernadette Johnson and Ernest Johnson. He was a loving father to his two daughters Angel Johnson and Tia Johnson. He was a father figure to Shemyah McFadden and the late Mecedric “Buddy” McFadden. He leaves to cherish his memories his companion Sheerie Graves, father Gregory Hall (Melba Leggette), mother Bernadine Johnson, stepmother Cassandra Brooks, siblings Chauntelle Johnson, Chaunte Johnson, Chavelle Johnson-Andrews (Jerrell Sr.), Chrissy Johnson, Nicole Johnson(Kyle), Clint Hall (Deanna), Kendra Hall, Wilbert Parker Jr. (Latrisha), and Brandon Parker Sr. (Cassie). He will be deeply missed by all of his siblings, a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and many other relatives and friends.
 
 

  • Relatives, friends and employees of Four Seasons of N.O., S&WB of N.O., Hyatt Regency, Pinnacle Security, Hilton Garden Inn, Southern Eagle, Jefferson Parish Schools, and TriState Iron & Metal Texarkana, AR are invited to attend his Homegoing Celebration on Wednesday July 6, 2022 at 11:00 am at Law Street Baptist Church, 3132 Law St. NOLA 70117

 

  • Visitation will be at 10:00am until the hour of service. Pastor Johnnie R. Arvie, officiating.

 

  • Interment will follow at Mount Olivet Cemetery, 4000 Norman Mayer Ave., NOLA 70122.
