Glynn Patrick Acy Sr.

Mr. Glynn Patrick Acy Sr. 80 , passed away in New Orleans, Louisiana on February 19, 2024. Glynn was born on September 17, 1943, in New Orleans, Louisiana, to the late Nacin Lionel Acy Sr. And Virgil Chauvin Acy. Glynn leaves behind his sister and brother-in-law, Gayle, and Michael Zibilich; his granddaughter, Julia Loretta Acy; Grandson, Glynn Patrick III; Granddaughter Erin Acy Ramos; great grandson, Phillip Jordan Ramos Jr; and godson, John Polk.

He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Martha; his children, Glynn Patrick Acy Jr. And Kristy Acy Bourg; and nephew, Michael Keller Zibilich.
After Graduating from L.E. Robouin High School in New Orleans, Glynn joined the Louisiana Army National Guard at Jackson Barracks, and served honorably for six years of active and reserve duty-often deployed during hurricanes that impacted the Louisiana Gulf Coast. Always interested in truck and automobile mechanics Glynn worked for Lamar Advertising, servicing their fleet of vehicles. After losing his home during Hurricane Katrina Glynn moved his family to the Northshore where he continued working for a private developer. He possessed a keen interest in computers and loved listening to 50s music with his adored wife, Martha. Most importantly he loved his family and friends and will be missed by all.

 
 

  • A funeral mass will be held at St. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, 66192 St Mary Drive, Pearl River Louisiana 70452, at 10:00am, March 5th, 2024. Glynn will be laid to rest in Louisiana at a later date.
