Frances Skinner

Frances M. Skinner went to her eternal rest on August 7, 2024, at the age of 76 in New Orleans, Louisiana. Born on December 20, 1947, in White Castle, Louisiana, she was a cherished member of her communities in White Castle and New Orleans as well as a devoted educator. She dedicated her career to shaping young minds as a schoolteacher at Booker T. Washington High School in New Orleans, where she retired after many years of service. Frances is survived by her siblings, Gwendolyn Johnson, Gerri Donaldson, and Gerald Williams, as well as her son, Lehmann Skinner. Four grandchildren, two great grandchildren, Aunts, Uncles and a host of other family, devoted friends and neighbors who loved her. She was preceded in death by her husband Rubbin Tucker, mother Elvira Skinner, and her sisters, Joyce Skinner, and Beatrice Green. A Funeral Mass will be held Saturday August 17, 2024 at 10:00am at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church and International Shrine of St. Jude, 411 N. Rampart St, New Orleans LA 70112.
