Elwood Junior JR

Minister Elwood Jude Junior, Jr., passed away at his home in Meraux, Louisiana at the age of 55 on Wednesday August 21, 2024. He was a native of New Orleans and a 1987 graduate of John F. Kennedy. Elwood was the son of the late Elwood Jude Junior, Sr. and Pastor Joanne Vallery, born on March 19, 1969. Elwood was a husband to Kim Nicholas Junior. Father of Elwood Jude Junior, III and A’ Ja Arionne Veronica Junior and a wonderful stepfather to Kiera Nicholas-Williams and Shahidah Nicholas. Brother of Xanya Junior, Cierra Vallery and the late Melaine Hollins. Also, survived by his grandchildren, Elwood Junior IV, Jewelle Jno-Pierre and J’ana Williams. Father-in-Law, Alvin Nicholas, Mother-in-Law, Rose Landry; Sister in Laws- Kwan Nicholas, Keisa Fascio, Brother in Laws - Alex Hollins, Kurt (Lynette) Nicholas, Kedrick (Tabitha) Nicholas, Kirby Landry and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

 Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Celebration of Life at Timothy Trumpet of Truth Ministry, 7451 West St Bernard Hwy, Arabi, Louisiana, 70032 on Friday, August 30, 2024, at 10:00 am, Bishop Robert Collins, officiating. Visitation will begin at 9:00 am.
