Douglas Grison Sr.

Douglas Grison Sr. departed this life on Sunday, May 29, 2022, at the age of 66 in New Orleans, La. He was a New Orleans Native and a United States Army Veteran. He worked at the Charity Hospital of New Orleans for 27 years until his retirement. Douglas leaves to cherish memories of his devoted wife of 22 years, Carrie S. Grison; daughters Alisa Grison, Tiffany G. Weston, Yolanda S. Nixon and Taineshia S. Chambers (Archie); sons Douglas Grison, Jr. (Naomi) and Darion Nixon (Tiffany); sisters Georgia Grison, Vanessa Harris (the late Joseph), Rita and Cynthia Grison; brothers Edward Grison and Larry Grison; 13 grandchildren, one great-grandchild and a host of relatives and friends. Douglas is preceded in death by his parents, the late George and Rosemary Grison; one brother, George Grison and his brother-in-law, Joseph Harris.
 
 

• Family, friends and coworkers are invited to attend his funeral service on June 10, 2022, at 10:00 a.m. at St. Thomas Baptist Church, 2926 Jackson Ave. New Orleans, LA.,70125. Travis A. George officiating.
