Donald Cook

Donald Raymond Cook, March 31,1968-July 30,2024 was a beloved son, brother, uncle and friend. Donald worked off shore for most of his life, where he traveled the globe and made lasting friendships. Donald had a love of good music and good food. He loved to talk. No one was a stranger for long after they met him. Donald is survived by his parents Charles “Mickey” Cook Sr. and Maryann Cook. By his brother Charles Cook (Lona), sister Virginia Gonzales (Kevin). Also by Nephews Corey (Brandi), Dillon. Nieces Sarah, Olivia, and, Emma. Great Nieces Madyson, Susan, Emersyn, and Kennedy. Donald also leaves behind beloved aunt Kathleen Hayden and uncle LJ Hayden (Theresa). Donald remained friends with his ex wife, Margaret Ann, her children Jonathan and Shelby (Champ), and her grandchildren Aubree, Skylar, Khelsi, Everlei, and Champ V, whom he loved that called him Paw Paw. He leaves behind a host of friends namely John Franklin Jr., Bobby and Ebony Ducote, Rudy and Joanne Nunez who the family would like to thank for their loving support as Donald’s health declined. Family and friends are invited to attend his memorial service Saturday, August 24th 2024 for 9:00 am at Poydras Baptist Church 8213 Saro Lane, Poydras, La 70085.
