Denise Ann Williams, 58, of New Orleans, Louisiana, passed away peacefully on December 9, 2024, surrounded by her loving family. Born and raised in the Tremé neighborhood, Denise was the cherished daughter of Wilmarine Tutt and Joseph Williams.
A proud Who Dat fan, Denise loved her New Orleans Saints and lived life with the same spirit—resilient, loyal, and full of joy. For over 20 years, she worked as a cook for the New Orleans Public School Board, where she was adored by students and staff for her kindness and delicious meals.
Denise is survived by her daughters, Lloynikka Williams (Alonzo Thomas) and Randilyn Williams; grandchildren, Lyrick Travis, Symphani Rome, Nova Rodney, and Zoi Thomas; godchild Keyanna McGree and her son Ky’ion McGree; siblings Charmaine Tutt, Joseph Williams, and Wilmarine Tutt. She is reunited with her sister, Carlane Tutt.
Services will be held Saturday, December 21, 2024, at Pilgrim Baptist Church, 2241 S. Liberty Street, New Orleans, LA. Viewing begins at 10:00 a.m., with services at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Providence Memorial Park, Metairie, LA. The repast will be held from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m., location to be announced.
