Clifford Earl Sopsher

Clifford Earl Sopsher, peacefully transitioned from this life, surrounded by love on Thursday, March 25, 2021. He was a native of Amite, LA and a resident of New Orleans, LA. Clifford was a member of Greater St. Stephens Full Gospel Baptist Church and an employee of EXCELth Family Health Center. Survivors include four sons, Toriano “Tito” (Andrea), Baron and Jordan Sopsher, Taris Cummings; two daughters, Keisha Hart Williams and Shalawn Harrison; three sisters Dorothy Faye Sopsher Belion, Oretha Sopsher and Oreaver Sopsher Williams; close companion Elvina Cummings; 13 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. He is preceded in death by his wife, Leah D. Sopsher; parents J.B. and Eula Faye Sopsher; four brothers Charles Sowers, Kenneth Ray, Birk and Kirk Sopsher; two sisters Delighta George and Ruthie Sopsher Dawson; and one great grandchild, Layton Vaughn.

 

  • Relatives and friends are invited to join the family for a visitation on Friday, April 2, 2021 from 4-6pm at New Hope Baptist Church, 1807 John C Rapheal Way New Orleans, LA and Saturday, April 3, 2021 from 9am until the Funeral Service at 11am at Little Bethel Baptist Church, 210 W Palmetto St, Amite City, LA.
