Claudette Jackson

Claudette M. Boutte Jackson entered into eternal rest on Thursday, August 15, 2024 at the age of 74. Claudette was born in New Iberia, Louisiana on April 28, 1950. Claudette was a loving daughter of the late Marjorie and Chester James Boutte Sr. She was a graduate of Jonas Henderson High School 1968. Married 34 magnificent years to the love of her life, husband Charles Jackson. This union brought forth daughters, Deonca Jackson-Converse (Trevor), Dayatra A. Jackson, Damara Jackson-Miller (Courtney) and the late Darinda Jackson-Saleem (Ronald). She is preceded in death by the late Ann Lorriane Boutte-Pradier, Chester James Boutte Jr., Joseph Brindley Boutte. Claudette is survived by her siblings Catherine Loretta Boutte-Brimmer, Agnes Carol Boutte-Shello, Theresa Brenda Boutte-Walker, Edward Malcolm Boutte, Peter Clyde Boutte (Carolyn), Elizabeth Sharon Boutte- Drexler (Steven), Paul Dwight Boutte, Rita Arlene Boutte-Jolivet (Harold), Jude Kern Boutte Sr. (Brenda). 

She is the grandmother of Mairon Caldwell, Kai Battiste, Kieran Battiste, Amara Shane Jackson, Tremayne Palmer Jr., Terrence McElveen, Charles I. Jackson, Oneka Saleem, Jayda Saleem, and Rashad Saleem. Great-Grandmother of Marley Caldwell, Myrie Caldwell, Nova Caldwell, Melody Caldwell, Terrence McClean Jr., Nevaeh and Taylor McElveen. Godmother to Mrs. Candiss Drexler-Richardson. She leaves to cherish her memory a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. A home going celebration service, honoring her life will be held on Saturday August 24, 2024 at New Home Family Worship Center, 1616 Robert C. Blakes Sr, Drive. New Orleans, Louisiana 70130. Visitation will begin at 9:00 am until the hour of services. Interment at Providence Memorial Park and Mausoleum, 8200 Airline Hwy., Metairie Louisiana 70003.
