Bobby Bland

Bobby Lee Bland entered eternal rest on Thursday, July 18, 2024 at Ochsner Medical Center in New Orleans, Louisiana at the age of 62. He was born on September 11, 1961 in Natchez, Mississippi at Charity Hospital. Bobby was raised in New Orleans, LA and educated in the New Orleans Public School system. Bobby was baptized at Friendship Baptist Church at an early age under the leadership of the late Rev. Webb Eddie Miles. 

Bobby will be missed by his wife, Gloria Wallace Bland, his father, LD Bland, his mother, Bessie C. Thomas, (1) sister, Vernicer Bland-Moore, (1) brother Ronald Thomas, (1) step-son, Kentrell Wallace Sr., 

(1) uncle, Leroy Bland (Lisa) of Kenner, LA, (1) great uncle, Prentiss Earl of Woodville, Mississippi, (1) aunt, Helen Kelley, (2) great aunts, Cornelious Brown and Alice Jackson - both of Woodville, Mississippi.

Funeral Services will take place Saturday, July 27, 2024 at Friendship Baptist Church 3125 Hollygrove Street, New Orleans, LA 70118. Visitation starts at 11:30am followed by Funeral Services at 1:00pm. Pastor Elijah McCarty
