Arissa Ernestine Jones, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, February 21, 2021, in New Orleans, LA. Arissa was born on March 20, 1998 to Josett Thompson Jones and Wendell Jones, in New Orleans, LA. She is survived by her parents, Josett Thompson (Freddie Seymour) and Wendell Jones, her beloved puppy Jaxi, her grandparents Addie Gaines (Douglas Gaines) and Otto Thompson; one brother Ashan Thibodeaux, Sr., and one sister Brandi Jones; aunt to Ashan Thibodeaux, Jr. and Ashad Thibodeaux; and godchild Gabriel Gonsoland; Godparents Ave’ Gaines (Aunt), Kerry Adams, Loretta Baker, and Charley Baker; two uncles and four aunts. Arissa will be greatly missed by a host of cousins, relatives, coworkers, her ULL family and friends. She was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents Earnestine & Rovergial Jones, Aunts Brenda Henry, Lori Jones and Uncle Shannon Jones.

• Arissa Ernestine Jones celebration of life will take place on Saturday March 6, 2021 at New Hope Baptist Church 1807 John Raphael Way.

• Visitation will held from 9:00a.m. to the hour of service.

• Interment will be at Providence Memorial Park & Cemetery & Mausoleum 8200 Airline Drive.

• Due to COVID-19 restrictions mask are required.
