Sharon Denise Smothers Coleman
Sharon Denise Smothers Coleman (59), entered into her heavenly home on Friday, August 11, 2017, surrounded by her family. Sharon was born September 5, 1957, in St. Francisville, Louisiana to the late Arthur Pate and Georgia Smothers. She was the beloved wife to Frank Coleman Jr., loving mother to her daughters, Tara and Sonthia Coleman and devoted aunt to Donna Harrison. She graduated from West Feliciana High School in 1976. She then relocated to New Orleans, LA, where she studied cosmetology at Moler’s Beauty College.
Sharon became one of John Jay’s Master Stylists and received numerous awards for her precision haircuts, color application, and creative styles. She opened her own salon, “Sharon’s Fa Chic” in Kenner, LA, where she continued to work for nine years. In honor of Mrs. Sharon Coleman, services will be held at the Second New Guide Baptist Church, 1424 S. Dilton St., Metairie, LA on Friday, August 18, 2017 at 7:00 pm. Visitation hours are from 5:30-7:00 p.m. Dismissal service will be held on Saturday, August 19, 2017 at 11:00 am at The Greater New Hollywood Baptist Church, 8819 Sligo Rd., St. Francisville, LA. Visitation hours are from 10:00-11:00 a.m.
